Voedselbos Camping Koperwiek
Koperwiek is a regenerative nursery, food forest, and campsite. We grow trees, shrubs, and plants for edible gardens, food forests, and agroforestry projects — from apple trees to wild strawberries, and everything in between.
On our nursery grounds, we’re planting a 1-hectare food forest with 14 inspiring demonstration systems. From a romantic food forest and agroforestry rows to a permaculture orchard – a green oasis full of edible plants.
Right in the middle of this food forest, you’ll find 15 charming camping spots. Choose your ideal place and stay in a fully furnished bell tent, bring your own tent, or come with a small campervan or caravan.
All pitches are located by the water, surrounded by edible trees and plants. From your tent, you’ll enjoy wide views over the Boterpolder on one side and the green of the nursery on the other. Want to pick your own breakfast, lunch, or dinner? You can!
Practical info:
✅ The campsite is car-free – you bring your gear to your spot using a wheelbarrow.
🎪 We have two fully furnished bell tents available for rent.
🚌 Due to the peat soil, camping spots are suitable only for campervans up to 2 tons and caravans up to 6 meters. We have two spots available for heavier campers. Tents of all kinds are welcome!
🚐⛺️ The spots Meerkoet (for campervans), Zwaluw, and Vink (for tents) can be booked for a single night. For all other camping spots, a two-night minimum stay applies.
🚽❌ Please note: there is no chemical toilet disposal on site. We kindly ask you to take this into account when booking.
🐕 Dogs are welcome (for a fee), but must always be kept on a leash, with a maximum of one dog per pitch. Dogs are not allowed in the bell tents.
📵 There’s no Wi-Fi, but the night sky is spectacular.

About us
Koperwiek is a regenerative, organic nursery focused on edible crops — for food forests, edible gardens, and agroforestry systems.
On our nursery grounds, we’ve created a small-scale nature campsite with 15 pitches. The spots are nestled in greenery and spread across 10,000 m². You can rent a fully furnished bell tent, bring your own tent, or stay with your caravan or campervan in the heart of this young and growing food forest.
Our campsite host Miek will give you a warm welcome and gladly show you around.
In the area
Our nursery is located in Hazerswoude-Dorp, on the edge of the renowned tree-growing region of Boskoop. We’re situated along the Rietveld, the last true "vaardorp" (water village) in the Netherlands. Did you know that until the 1980s, boats were the only means of transport in this area? Even today, dozens of houses along the Rietveld are only accessible by water. This — in our opinion, unfairly hidden — natural gem in South Holland gives our nursery its unique charm and character.On the north side of the property, near the historic windmill, you can walk or cycle straight into the old village...
